Stephen Appiah passes away
While PAC Academy’s players, staff, and fans are still grappling with uncertainty after Ahmed’s arrest, the Offinso-based club has been dealt another heavy blow with the death of General Manager Stephen Appiah.
Sources told YEN.com.gh’s Gariba Raubil that Appiah passed away on Wednesday night, August 27, 2025, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi following a short sickness.
''Stephen played a bigger role than just administration especially when it comes to the registration of players on the Ghana Football Association's online system. He mentored many of our young talents at the colts level. This loss is enormous for Ashanti region and even Ghana football as a whole. I’m truly devastated.
