The club has shown interest in Lucas Paquetá of West Ham, a player they admire and previously targeted. However, with the market closing soon, completing a deal for him could prove challenging.

According to the Italian sports journalist, Tottenham are stepping up efforts to sign a new attacking player before next week’s deadline, following news that James Maddison will miss most of the season through injury.

Tottenham's interest in Antoine Semenyo

Now, it has emerged that Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is another name that has come up in recent discussions, highlighting Tottenham’s intent to strengthen their attacking options.

If the move materializes, Semenyo would link up with his Ghanaian compatriot Mohammed Kudus, who has already made an impressive start to life at Tottenham with standout performances in his first two Premier League appearances.

The former Bristol City man is one of the fastest-improving strikers in the Premier League after his wonderful 2024/25 season.

According to Transfermarkt, Semenyo chipped in 13 goals and 7 assists in 42 matches across all competitions last season, proving his increased offensive output.

The highly-rated Bournemouth forward, who was allegedly subjected to a racial abuse at Anfield during the Premier League's opening weekend, has registered 2 goals and 1 assist already in the new campaign. Overall, Antoine Semenyo has racked up 24 goals and 11 assists across 92 games for the Cherries.

The coming days will be crucial as the Europa League champions prepare to make final decisions and push for new signings before the summer transfer closes. Despite the time constraints, the club remains optimistic about securing the right solutions and expects to stay busy until the window closes.

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank and Tottenham have recorded two victories from their first two Premier League games, defeating Burnley 3-0 and dominating Manchester City 2-0.
