His performance earned him a 6.1 rating from Sofascore, a fair reflection of his industry on a difficult night.

The Wa-born midfielder even came agonisingly close to scoring Oviedo’s first goal of the season.

In the 80th minute, his strike from inside the box clipped the post, with Madrid still leading 1–0 through Kylian Mbappe’s first-half effort.

That near miss proved costly. Real Madrid quickly capitalised, with Mbappe adding a second from a Vinicius Junior assist before the Brazilian, who started the game from the bench, grabbed one of his own to seal the contest, as noted by Al Jazeera.
