Controversial Ghanaian social activist, Ralph St Williams, has blasted the Ridge Hospital nurse who accused him of assault.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Ralph St Williams addressed the findings of the Ridge Hospital committee, which cleared him of the allegation levelled against him by Rejoice Tsotsoo Bortei.

The activist stormed the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, and got into an altercation with nurses at the emergency centre.

Ralph furiously blasted them in a viral video for failing to promptly attend to patients, including one who was in critical condition.

In the aftermath of the incident, Rejoice Tsotsoo Bortei accused Ralph of assaulting her and dislocating her shoulder in the process.

The Health Minister, Honourable Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, set up a committee to probe the alleged assault at the hospital.

The committee’s report cleared Ralph St Williams, noting that there was no evidence he assaulted the nurse.

Ralph has finally responded to the report and said it was evident from the beginning that he was being set up.

He accused the nurse of being manipulated by the General Secretary of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA), David Tenkorang Twum, for his own political gains.
