A young Ghanaian man, Kofi Offeh, has gained widespread attention after declaring that he and his people “are the rightful occupants of Scotland."
For years, the 36-year-old from Ghana and his queen, Jean Gasho from Zimbabwe, have been residing in the wooded area near Jedburgh, in the Scottish Borders, about 41 miles south of Edinburgh.

The Ghanaian man, who reportedly attended Valley View University, persuaded an American woman, Kaura Taylor from Texas, who now goes by the name Asnat, to join them in the woodland and serve as his handmaiden.
The trio, claiming to be the rightful occupants of Scotland, have been giving their followers a glimpse of woodland life by posting videos on their page.
They live a nomadic lifestyle where they live off-grid, in tents and practice ritual bathing.

King Atehene parades as King
A 2023 video has resurfaced where King Atehene was seen parading a street in Scotland, declaring himself as the true heir of Great Britain.
He was heard claiming in the video that “black people were the original occupants of the constituent country and that the time had come for Brits to know their history.”
His remarks were not well received by some onlookers, who quickly responded and voiced their disagreement.
According to the Daily Mail, the Scottish Border authorities evicted King Atehene from property owned by the Council. However, the group has now camped at a location not owned by the Council.

Ghanaian joins the British Army after moving to the UK
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that a Ghanaian man has taken to social media to celebrate his new life in the UK.
This comes after he announced in a video that he had enlisted in the British Army.
He was all smiles during his passing-out ceremony, where he took his oath of allegiance to the monarch of the United Kingdom.
