"Shatta Wale's Lamborghini Was Not a Stolen Car": Captain Smart Rants, Dares EOCO

Ghanaian media personality and host of the Onua Makye show, Godsbrain Nkansah, aka Captain Smart, has rallied behind Shatta Wale in the latter's issues with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

On the August 28 episode of his Onua Maakye show, the journalist contradicted the allegations presented by EOCO against Shatta Wale.
On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, EOCO detained Shatta Wale after an overdue invitation to their office.
He spent one night in EOCO custody as his legal and management team scrambled to meet his GH₵10million bail.

This comes after the musician's 2019 Lamborghini Urus was confiscated at his home in East Legon.
EOCO linked the luxury car's purchase to a United States Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)national investigation.
A Ghanaian man identified as Nana Kwabena Amuah is currently serving a jail term for fraud.
EOCO described Shatta Wale and a former officer of the National Signals Bureau as persons of interest.
Captain Smart, in his submission on Onua Maakye, maintained Shatta Wale did not purchase a stolen car.
The controversial journalist shared his account of the case and dared EOCO's lawyer to refute his claims.

More arrests to follow after Shatta Wale
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Blakk Rasta had applauded Raymond Archer, the boss of EOCO, after Shatta Wale's detention.
During a recent episode of Blakk Rasta's Boiling Pot show, the journalist noted that Shatta Wale was not the only person being monitored by EOCO.
