Nana Acheampong drops tribute song for Lumba

Nana Acheampong released the tribute song, titled "Due K. Fosu," on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

In his post, Acheampong reflected on the tremendous loss of his friend while emphasising the importance of celebrating Daddy Lumba's life and remarkable achievements as a trailblazer in the music industry.

Nana Acheampong, who played a pivotal role in introducing Daddy Lumba to the Highlife tradition, noted that their collaboration as the Lumba Brothers in the 1980s propelled them to sensational success, significantly influencing the music scene in Ghana.

Nana Acheampong reacts to Lumba's death

Nana Acheampong expressed his profound sorrow following the loss of his dear friend Daddy Lumba.

The duo, famously recognised as the Lumba Brothers, had a significant role in popularising the highlife genre throughout Ghana, revitalising the music scene during the vibrant 1980s and 1990s.

"It has been incredibly difficult for me to accept this shocking news. Menua Kojo Fosu, why this shock?" he lamented, showcasing the depth of his grief.
